Juda, Eskew and Associates, P.A. Staff Selected for FICPA’S Emerging Leaders Program

A highly-selective, experiential career development program for Florida’s best and brightest young CPAs

The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) announced that Travis Ouimet has been accepted into the 2019-2020 Class of its Emerging Leaders Program.  Travis is among 27 individuals in this year’s class, representing the rising stars within the Florida accounting community.

FICPA’s annual program is designed to strengthen and amplify the leadership skills of FICPA’s Young CPA members, build a peer group network of talented and motivated CPAs, and develop the future influencers of the profession. Program events will be held across the state in Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami. Participants will engage locally with thought leaders from the accounting profession, local and state elected officials, community not-for-profit champions, and leadership development experts.

The Emerging Leaders Program creates an environment in which young CPAs are able to engage in a dialogue about statewide and national issues impacting the profession, establish strong professional relationships, and be inspired to take the next step forward as leaders. Following the program, all of the participants’ efforts will culminate at the Emerging Leaders Summit, taking place this winter.

Announcement: Kim Juda to serve on Advisory Board at Broward College

We are please to announce that Kim Juda has been selected to serve on the Broward College Business Department’s (Accounting, Marketing and Office Administration) Advisory Board as a Business Partner. The purpose of an advisory committee is to provide assurance, through technical assistance and resources, that an occupational training program curriculum meets the needs of
business, industry, labor, the professions, technical trades, or the community it is designed to serve. The advisory committee also ensures that the occupational training program graduates are capable of performing entry-level skills in the occupation in which they are trained. An advisory committee is a group of employers and employees, from outside the field of education, providing guidance and direction to educators on the design, development, implementation, evaluation, maintenance, and revision of career and technical education programs. Successful advisory committees focus on innovative, quality programs. Because representatives on the committee have first-hand information concerning current business trends, technological demands, and realistic job requirements, their participation on the committee helps strengthen communication between education and the world of work.
